i have a 06 15 l7 in a 5 cuft sloted box i gets loud but iwant a little SQ would going to a smaller box help and what tuning just for daily driving rap & r&b music thanks for any help

ya, a bit smaller box might help add some control, but that tuning's probably about perfect for sq.

Maybe even a bit lower, if you feel like, 28hz maybe

i have directed 1500d on this sub iam thinking about getting a hifonics hercules-xx would it be a better amp for this sub

the directed amp puts good power but has some distortion would the hifonics be cleaner sounding amp

mines at 30 htz in a 6cu.ft. ported box an it sounds great. i would say stay somewhere around low 30's for good sq
