152.6 with 1 BTL

So do you guys think that my 152 number is way off or what? I have never used a TL so I have no idea what my dbs would be on one. I live in vancouver and would love to use a tl if anyone has one.

yeah, its way off.
imo

my car wont even do a 52.6 sealed up.
Point being? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Just because your vehicle isn't as loud sealed up doesn't mean it's not possible for someone else.

Hell, my single 10" box in a monte carlo is 2 dB louder than my truck on the dash! Outlaw the truck wins though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Plus your design isn't going to maximize your output potential on the dash anyways.

i thought you were doing a 52.4? was that in the kick?

ive never metered in the kick....that was on music both doors open iirc.

yeh i saw u bass boxed a 153.1, seems like u could def burp a 153 sealed up then
thats on the AC w doors open.

on the TL sealed up i run a 152.0 burp.

thats why i said imo....i dont think its a true 152.6 and imo its way off.

I just mentioned that about my car as a reference.

I was told that my setup wasnt meter friendly, but it was never intended to be....but i do believe that i got lucky and it actually does work out for me, it destroys the low low notes and still can run in the low 50's on music without concern.

ive never metered outlaw, but i am curious what the neon has in it after all...

I have not clamped my *actual* power usage but with two 3000s on one 15" Nightshade I can do 152.1 legal on the dash. It is a bone stock Nightshade so it can't be a ridiculous amount of power.

So its not outside of the realm of possibility to do 152.6 with an 18" BTL if the setup is really good.

whats a nightshade?

On in construction on the right there.

I checked the website but couldn't find box recommendations for ported. Curious because I want to go with 2 15's and the BTL's I have need a lot of air space. Will the nightshade work well in less than 4cubes each?

3 cubes + port each is the suggested space and what most people use.

My SPL box that I do 152.1 with in the Jeep is only ~2.5 cubes + port.

You could use the BTLs in around 4 cubes if you wanted to, though.

I was there. The guy you lost to is a friend of mine. I had the white ford contour in class 2. I hit 145.7? if I remember right. They don't have use a term lab no. But to give you an idea where you stand I hit 142.1 on a T.L. at the Portland comp before it.

Next one my friend should do a lot better. We are going to see if we can't get his Mojo's down to one ohm instead of two. That should bring 3700 watts out of each of the 4 amps instead of the 2 thousand he is running now.
