150a fuse too big? 4awg to 360w rms 2ohm

If you amp is fused ( and you said it is) then the main fuse saves you if the wire shorts out on the body...blows fuse and the ur car don't get burnt up....lots of guys who run in comps don't have em ( a big risk ) and I am 1 of em...but on a daily set up fuse it!

Just a heads up. I pulled the the said wiring kit from the vehicle to install in the other vehicle (it was in the car when I bought it) and I found a spot in the wire where it apparently got hot enough to start to burn and melt the insulation. So 150a on 4awg is a no no. I will definitely be going 80-100a fuse for 4awg. Just thought I'd post up in case anyone searches and finds this thread.

lol, shit I have 300 amp on all my fuses, and I have about 10 fuses, 1/0 and 4 gauge....they are the only fuses I had, but someday I need to change the 4 gauge fuses to somethin smaller...no probs thus far tho
