1500w 110 amp alt big enough?

Hey, looking to run 1500rms (so 1200-1300 actual) and I have my stock alt. Which is 110 amp. So over guessing the measurements I did 1500w/15v = 100 amp I no that's over estimating but I'm not sure how much left over my car would need, also an extra battery is probably needed? Does that one have to be high end ? Or a second regular battery would be fine?

Only way to find out is testing it. Do big 3 and use 1/0 wire and check your voltage. Your batteries for audio are supposed to be agms not lead acid. So yes itll work but its better to upgrade your starting battery to the biggest agm you can fit. And get a second agm if possible. Sams club and sears sells agms for around $200

Ahh fair enough I'm in Canada so there's no Sam's Club and sears doesn't have any car battery's, am I gonna need a high end agm? Or would using stock battery and adding an average agm in the trunk be sufficient?
