I'll get some more pics in a little bit. And a couple videos

i have used many powerbass amps and have never been impressed by them. a buddy of mine had one and was swapped for a new one and both had the same issue with the internals. he got a rockford from a friend at rockford and has never been happier. you got a nice setup...

Thanks. I will admit I have had some problems with the internals of the xta but I'm pretty sure it was user error. I had just finished putting everything in and a local show was already started. I hooked up the amp and turned up the gains (more than what they should have been). It was extremely loud for about 30-45 mins. Then it caught on fire... Literally. Im still not sure if I have given up on them because my other xta5k I ran at .5ohm daily for a year or more and the only time I had problems out of it was when a battery in my bank shorted internally. I guess I'll just go with whatever I can afford next

Do what you got to do but I have not had luck with powerbass amplifiers. Just giving my experience. There are way better options out there and they are even more reliable...
Yeah I have been looking into other amps. That much power is just soooo expensive hahaha

there are lots of people that have suggestions and are decently priced. how much can you spend on an amp?
None right now. Im supposed to close on my first house next month so all my money is going to that. Im running an AQ3500 for now. I thought about finding another one of those to strap with the one I have now. I need to sell a bunch of the audio I have laying around so I can have some extra cash. Or find someone to trade with

i feel ya on the first home buying...its takes every penny and every bit of patience. be careful with strapping amps together, its takes more current. i have had strappable amps but have not strapped. strapping amps, doubles power but at a higher impedance (bridging a 2ch amp/ more power at 4ohm bridge vs 2ohm stereo). just put one on each pair, gain match and your all set. in your situation, i would recommend just one big amplifier as you are using a common chamber enclosure.

Strapping them vs running one on each pair would be the same current draw either way. If I strap them with a final load of 1 ohm, each amp will see .5ohm. If I run one on each pair each amp will still be wired at .5ohm. But if I strap them I wont have to worry about gain matching (it will be the same as running one big amp). The only problem with running one big amp is finding an amp that will do 10-12k at 1 ohm. If I strap 2 amps I can find a lot more options to equal that power at .5ohm each
