1400-1500 ACTUAL watts, not rated watts like the hifonics 1605d is.

Don't have the meter set on peak hold, just read off the highest number the meter shows.

If thats the correct way to do it, i have no idea. It was just the way i was told to measure it.

From what i've seen, the meter spikes at a certain time (like 1-2 seconds into the burp), then starts to drop off.

I use the highest numbers that i saw to calculate the power.

...I can get louder than that for that money. Mostly because i'd use a better amp and drive because i'd be saving $200 on my enclosure. Even still, if yo uare interested in pure SPL there are better drivers than the Type R 15 which you can pick up used for less or about the same money.

I'd assume it's a combonation of the aeroports placed right, enclosure dimensions of a certian size, extra rigidity offered by the fuberglass resin on the inside... And Sticker shock. Sticker shock adds 3db.
Seeing I can build a slot ported enclosure for about 35-40 material cost alone, Id rather do that... Who needs 150db anyway if it's just for daily?[/QUOTE]
