150 db sealed?

Funniest thing in the world, you say you don't want to spend extra money where you don't have to, yet, you're wanting to go 4 12's sealed to get 150 DB's when you could go 2 12's ported and get 150? How contradictory.

Eclipse subs have impressive sealed output and kickass sound, but they will set you back mega bucks.

I personnally acheived 144db on the dash with 2 12 inch MTX thunder 8000's sealed(1.3cu per sub), using a Concept CCD1200.1 wired at 2ohms, a 40 or a 45 hz tone burst was used. The car was a 90 Cav Z24.

js loan, you said you hit 144 with 2 12 mtx 8000's sealed and an 1200watt amp. I bet it wasnt a termlab mic you were using.

Prolly not, it was a promotional competition at a local shop(Audio wharehouse, Saskatoon), they were putting two cars side by side with a light tree and a monitor in front (DB drag) mounted the mic to the windshield with suction cups and a spacer and gave you 20 seconds to rack the best possible score, I just burped it and waited for my time to run out.

On guy had (forget his name) had an older Chevy blazer with 4 Quad coil 18 inch Inhumans in a ported wall (dedicated spl rig, multiple amps and batts) that consistently pegged the meter at 170db.

Instead of buying 3 more SX's why dont you send that blown one back recone buy 2 more thatll save you some money. Then buy some badass amps like a Crossfire 2000D thats an amp.
