I know nothing about that model, but it is Hertz and it does fit (or almost fits) your budget.

The ia components are very disappointing. There on par with my stock. I deadened the doors mdf baffles and sealed them up. Running 90 watts per side

Using speaker level input into a kenwood mini amp. I'm letting the crossovers do there thing

That's your problem right there, no high dollar speaker can remedy a poor signal from a stock head unit that has at best 8 or 12 bit Digital Audio Converters. Even thousand dollar focals will sound like trash in your car without any proper processing.

I believe that most companies that are known for their sub/amp line ups, dont make good sound quality speakers. Most are designed to get loud without distortion and have decent sensitivity, not have a flat FR graph.

its not flat but it should definitely be a vast improvement over stock. My buddy (neostylez on here back then) used the IA 6.5 coaxials and they sounded Very respectable. For processing he used the JVC arsenal which is JVC's Equivalent to the pioneer 80 prs, 24 bit burr brown converters, time alignment and active capable with good parametric EQs. Processing makes all the difference, gotta have a decent enough base.

Don't mean to hop and steal dudes thread, but it seems a little dead anyways lol. I live in madison and am looking for a new active setup. Is there any drivers you would recommend form madisound or parts express for an active setup? Looking for semi cheap, and would be ran off audioque 125.4.
