SRV was right up there with Hendrix, and in my view, was actually better.
He played a Mean Blues/Rock style of music that I would recomend anyone to check out.
I've been an SRV fan for nearly all my life, and even own his signature model Fender Strat Guitar. (Which is beyond **** nice! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )
My personal favorites of SRV:
Texas Flood
Wall of Denial
Crossfire
Cold Shot
Tight Rope
Life By The Drop
The House is a Rockin'
Lenny
and I could go on.....
I don't think SRV ever had a "bad" or "sub-standard" song.
He was just **** good. - And I stress the "**** GOOD" part! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Try to get ahold of one of his taped video performances and watch the man play. Intense passion doesn't quite cover it.
He was that darn good!
I can only imagine if he were alive today..... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
