Aight i just got a 15" RE SX, but i dont have a box yet. I been searching high and low for a decent box but i cant find anything... i already hit up ebay, sounddomain, and google. RE suggests 3.5 cu ft ported, tuned to 32hz. I WOULD make my own box but i really dont wanna screw it up, and i dont know how to tune the ports, and ive never even tried carpeting haha so yah im no comfortable building my own box at all.

Build it man, it really isn't as hard as it seems... trust me. I built one for my XXX and couldn't do the math for the port and didn't have a box design program. Find someone on here to design it for you for $5 or so and explain to them that you are ignorant as to building boxes. Moelester is a good one (sp?) and he will help you out. After that building it is no big deal, if you can get to a table saw then you can easily get perfect cuts, if not I used a handheld circular saw and it came out okay... not perfect, but you couldn't tell after some sanding and the carpet. As far as carpeting that is easy too, just get spray glue and carpet with no backing and plop it on there. The only hard part is getting the edges not to show. Doing it yourself is a lot cheaper as well, and a lot more gratifying. Deffinately build a box. Normally I would suggest purchasing one from someone on here (moe, inhuman, etc.), but since you're in HI shipping would not be worth it.

Buy some plans from one of them...they usually run like $10, then have at it.
