They will be dual 4s because you can only get the type-rs in dual 2s or dual 4s i think.

Alpine reccomend their mrd-m605 but people that i have spoken to with this amp tell me that is is slightly underpowered for the sub.

its a single four ohm. the amp doesnt have to be from alpine it can be other brands. i just wanted to know how many watts and either mono or 2 channel and wat kind

you either have a dual 4 ohm or a dual 2 ohm bud. and the RMS wattage on the new 15" R's is 750, but they can take more than that.

Edit: from the sounds of it you have a dual 4 ohm? you'll want a sub running at 2 ohms to power that, and i would probably want to push around 750-1000rms @ 2 ohms and that thing will bump

id put around and over 1500watts on it....i have 2000 on mine and play it hard daily and no signs or smells at all....unless im wangin 30hz notes for a while.

They're also overrated, I know from messing with my friends' amps.
