15" Type R Vs. 15" RF T1

My bro in law is considering both of these but is not sure which one to go with. The setup would be in a Lexus IS300 trunk most likely in the rec sealed box. Which one out of these 2 would do better sealed for mostly rap and some occasional altenative type music. Oh and what amp would pair good with each of these? Thanx in advance.

I am not that big of a fan of the R, but Type R ftw,I heard those New RF aint worth the money, and more than likey not even in the same league as the Type R,I heard RF's product have gone down in quiality and overall performance in the last few years.(mainly amps)

i don't know about the t-series subs, but my p3 was worthless

i didn't pay retail, but the msrp on it was $299, and alpine r's are way way louder

i personally think alpine has gotten better over the last couple years

a type R ... for about 130$ (shipped) on ebay new ... thats a real good deal

the typeX is pretty good buy too $220 (shipped) on ebay ...

my cuz has one of there V amps ... im pretty impressed with it

Meh, I havent tried the brand new ones but I had a few mrdm500s and they were anything but impressive imo.
