15" TC-3000 Vs 15" L7

The LMS series drivers are designed for large enclosures, ULTRA low-end response, and the Home Theater Environment

The TC3000 drivers are designed for ultra small enclosures, HUGE SQL numbers, and the car environment

These drivers were both designed with completely different goals, both are awesome in their own respects

Yeah the 3000 sounds great and has great output in a sealed box, there is no need to go vented. When the radiators become available you can have an incredible sql setup with only about 2 cubic feet.

what do radiators exactly do?and how much db gain are we talkin here?

passive radiator act like a port, but u have to calculate it differently....its kinda complicated i found, if someone knows how to! please share:)

it has no advantage over port enclosure, only thing is with PR, u wont have to worry about port noise at all and it takes less room compared to a ported enclosure... but the music will still sound the same though... thats all i know about PR...

Yeah as others stated the radiators will not be as efficient as vented, due to the fact that the cones have mass and require energy to move) however, the new radiators from tc sounds are capable of over 4" inches of excursion, which will definitely add some output. They will sound better than vented (very little difference even if done correctly) but they can be used in a much smaller enclosure.
