and then a ugly sub //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif seems to me that the packing peanuts melted to gasket and magnet boot, should wash off or will just leave off, first i thought it was paint though. Also, my DMM is lame and read 4.5ohm on one of the coils at first but after shutting off and trying again both are right at 2-2.1, **** cheap harborfreight stuff to hell.

This is my only question, how can i get the peanuts out of the bottom of the vent, thought about getting something to dig at it but quickly realized that was probably bad, any ideas? i can't get my finger in far enough.

whoever packed that should be shot on the spot...how hard would it have been to put the sub in a bag first?
i'd almost agree with you considering the trouble i went through to make sure the stuff i sent was A ok, but just the gasket and mag boot so no biggie

Only thing i can think of is a pair of long, needlenosed pliers. Taking your time to be VERY carefull and not to touch anything while doing it....or you could try and use a vacuum to see if that will get it out.

tis why I put the sub in a garbage bag before adding peanuts and what not, or at least cover it with bubble wrap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif.

GL man. Couple of those pics looks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sick.gif.b1847c8dabbfeeddbcf1a78052249e10.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

tis a good idea, never thought of though, i will be sure to require it for next claw i get, i hate picking peanuts outta ****. after taking gasket and boot off can't even barely notice, none stuck to cone either so i'm happy,

I take an even cheaper route when I ship stuff but one that ends up equally as effective ~

Wrap the article in a single layer of bubble wrap then go over the whole thing with a layer or two of Saran Wrap.

Keeps all packaging materials from invading the gear being packed as well as dust or anything else. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Nice, and I agree with the saran wrap idea...

The twins of that sub should be here sometime next week //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Touch all you want...you arent going to hurt anything unless your plyers are REALLY long and you like stab the cone or something.

Nice purchase. You will have to let us know what you think of it. And get working on cleaning that mag up:up2somet:
oh yeah, i'll probably be picking another one up and mounting them in the rear dash of my buick, i have plans just unsure on which amp to get, too many choices. i really want to do 1 amp per sub for some reason.

What would be your cost savings per unit having your coils wound in aluminum instead of copper? Can you quantify the efficiency (or dB) gains...
