15 or 18? Help Please Highest DB on TL

Hey guys I was wondering as to what you guys think is the loudest 15" or 18" (just 1) possible for under 400 or 2 12's Whichever is louder and will get me the highest score possible on a TL. Yes I know 2 12's has more cone area then 1 15, but 1 18 has more cone area then both. This will be going into a 1994 firebird ***** am. This will be a daily driver. And SQ is the least of my worries. As of now Im leaning towrds the AQ HDC3 or and IA DP 18, or the (2) AQ SDC2.5 or Some (2) FI SSD's. What would you guys suggest. I have also been looking into SI, Mach5, RD, RE. Remember SQ is the least of my worries.

My amp is an earthquake PHD5000W/D1

860wrms @ 4 ohms

3000wrms @ 2 ohms

I know this amp is overrated but i was wondering if any of you know the fuse(s) size of the amp and i know its internal fuses and I was wondering if anybody knew of the efficiency of this amp. Thanks for all the input and help I appreciate it.

Well you don't have much room to begin with in that car so it looks like you will have to do 2 12s.

Yea I know I dont have the most space lol, as of now the measurments of where it will be is Approxamately 20Hx36Wx30D, sorry I dont have exact measurements yet, I was going to do that in a few min. lol But if I were to go with 2 12" what would you guys suggest other then what I have listed.

I got a 18" in the rear hatch of my vette. its brutal.

it is also in a 7.2 cube ( outer dimension ) box back there right now. so from the back of my seats, rearwards - there is only speaker box. hahahha.

get a 18"

make a wall behind your rear seats, completley seal it all off. let your rear hatch area be the "box " and tune it with a port acordingly.

thats my new plan.

ditch my big *** box, rip out everything rear wards of my seats ( carpet - lights - trim pannels, ext..... fiberglass all the holes and crap shut. roll on some rhino line.

build the wall, port = the sickness. id say if you got the right sub, you could do eazy 140's and maby 150' if you worked real hard at it and got tweaking it to its max.

Yea I just recently actually measured and measurement are 21Dx25Wx20W. which will give me 8.75 cubes before displacement.

And yea I was thinking about walling it which is a possibility but I dont know what it would be sitting on top of lol, I've been told its the gas tank directly behind the seats but havent looked my self.

uh....that comes out to 4.8 cubs before any port....might want to recheck that shit.
