145db with 1000rms??

lol cotjones trying to make a comeback and sound intelligent now. i liked it better when ur jl sounded like 2 watts compared to everybody else's 1 watt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif LMAO
also to the guy doing a 155, that is a negative sir.
I think we can let the whole "cotjones is an idiot" thing rest now. Yes haha it was funny for the past couple years but now its getting a little repetitive. He's making an effort at least.

Well the multimeter is putting some sort of load on it, albeit with a couple million ohms of resistance it's quite negligible.

Thor's, according the the little equation thing you're putting out a hell of a lot of power. Honestly I don't see how that work, and I'll accept the fall on that.

I'm assuming impedance rise is what drops that from like 24000 watts to whatever it is you're actually giving them.. since the more the sub moves the more back emf you'll generate in the coils or something? That's really something I've never read up on. I'll have to check it out!

However, every setup I've tuned (nothing huge, like max 1000wrms), has come up to what it was supposed to be. 110 vac is like plugging your subs into a wall socket, lol.

Bah, well nevermind on my part.

true, but now he isnt as fun.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif but i admit, he is trying .

I have my amp set at 110vac for each sub, voltage at amp 14.6v with the amp seeing .5ohm load to begin with before impedance rise. Based on your theory how much am I putting out?
eh like 24,000 er something, i'm missing something here, but what? impedance rise is not it, that has no effect on the amplifier's output voltage.

does it? i can't see how it would... i'm with the other guy, 110vac seems WAY too high? A JL audio 1000/1 only hits 63.2Vac to hit 1000watts at 4ohms... and the math works. What is different in your system?

Oh, to the OP....

A 145 is possible w/ 1000rms. That doesn't mean that a 130db is impossible though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

My amp is an Atomic 5K. I have several teammates running similar Zennon based 5k's and they all dial in thier amps round 110vac. Hell I've had mine as high as 115vac but it starts to clip at that level.

Wheres H-town in michigan? You can witness my 155dBs. I know I atleast hit that. My buddies 148dBs his system is nothing compared to mine. I have the loudest truck in my county. Its night and day between our systems. I believe it was bigbassman who hit 160dBs with 246 watts. thats not a typo 246 watts. Oh wait you didnt see that, because you only joined a year ago.
I tell wha Im going to meter my system today, Ill scan the sheet up here and laugh my *** off later. You guys that claim to hit the 145+ range. I bet you hit 135+. Just system wont go over 150. Doesnt mean you have to hate the people that will. You have 8,000 posts in 1 year is that to compensate for something? You have a XXX. o wow your a baller. I assume you bought that after you became a member and figured out ur RF punch 1s **** dick. Have ever had people get out of their car at red lights and they act like their going to kick your ***, but then they run away? Have you had people run red lights, because they couldnt tolerate their cars vibrating that intensely?

Its hard to hit the 155 range your wallet just cant afford 155.

You are a retard. It is obvious that you have no idea what your talking about. Your Powerbass amps are NOT doing 2k+.

i got it! correct me if i'm wrong

The Amp is only able to double the output with a half in resistance when the amp has the ability to suppy the necessary current. So the power supply and electrical system come into play.

For your amp to put out 2000 watts at 4 ohms, it needs about 90vac and 20 amps

But for your amp to deliver 24,000 watts at .5 ohms, it would need 110vac and 220 amps.

Just talked to my man who hooks me up with my amps. He gives me better deals then the guys he sponsors lol. Hes havin a dB drag in march. so Im gunna wait. that way its "professional".
If he has the meter already..go get metered tomorrow..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
