13 w7 or 2 12 w6 v2's?

I could take my 12 w6 v2 box, and make it a box for 1 13 w7.

Will one 13w7 get as loud as the 2 w6v2's?

The reason I am contemplating this is because I am on the verge of having not enough airspace for the 2 w6's.

But, if I got a 13 w7, and just removed the baffle and made it a one speaker baffle, I would have 2.62 Cubic Feet without taking into consideration the sub itself, and 2.41 cubic feet with the sub. That would be enough space to port the sucker, the only thing is, it is a fiberglass wheel well enclosure, could I successfully port something like that with a tube port?

I have 1000/1 to power it with.

Mixed bag I see.

It would be easier to keep the 2 12's I already have installed, I am just worried that I am low on air space. I am at 2.44 Cubic feet with driver displacement. I have about 40 oz of pollyfill in the box as well. Maybe it just needs to be tuned right.

I ahve the xr 3 way set getting installed and RTAd coming up real soon, so we'll see what happens.

I am running about the same space with mine with NO polly and off a kicker sx1250.1 in a suv. And it bumps to were I cant play most cds with out them just skipping.

But how does it sound? Mine hits so hard that my visors bounce and I can't even put my cd changer in the back of the car, but.... they just don't sound right.

Mine sound great, I had a sx 15 in it before these some l7 15's and a good amount of other subs and these by far are the best ones I have ran/

And mine make the cd player skip not a changer in the back :0) and there is a good amount of distance from it. I can set a full pack of cigs, or my cell phone etc on my dash and they will FLip and I had a nextel phone on my dash and had it moving all over it was a i302 what is a VERY heavy construction style phone. I think they sound very good though hits most notes and getting very low and loud. Maybe there is something with your box. Mine is a sealed box

I am also running two of them in sealed enclosure each on its own separate chamber. each with its own 500/1 amp and they are awesome.

I was going to go with a ported enclosure but because of space i had to go with sealed and so far no complaints here!
