Don't know if you've ever considered the Massive Audio components. They are extremely well balanced, have a very high power rating, and aren't going to cost you an arm and a leg. My buddy who is a rep for Massive is running them in his Rover with a pair of Massive 15's and they really do sound quite impressive.

imo your best option would be something like 2 pairs of re xxx comps or these mids which have a 3" voicecoil made by morel and have a whopping 300 watts rms powerhandling. nice midbass.
