$1200 budget -SUV (explorer- I think)

My friend wants to spend $1200 for everything. I'm am going to say $1000 budget though and have him save $200 for the install most of it at a local car audio shop.

I have some of the plans made up already:

Headunit- Thinking pioneer or alpine? (not sure) $200-$300

Wiring- Knu 0 gauge kollosus $99

Frontstage- Pg RSD comps $99 or suggestions of comps better for a little

higher price.

Frontsage amp- Thinking profile?

Substage- Suggestions (two 12's or 10s)

Substage amp- Suggestions

Enclosure- Custom built (35hz)- $160

I'm to tired to think of enclosure volume and look up speaker sizes right now. I'm going to bed right now, so this may sound very broad. I figured i'd just put this thread out there for now and see what suggestions I get for the morning. Thanks guys.

Try a couple of Kicker CVX's 12's off a decent 1500rms amp. I have one I just put in yesterday on an older amp. (Have a new autotek going in soon)Man this thing slams! Haven't even really messed with my gains since my Fi Q was in there in same box and the CVX sounds better IMO than my Fi Q ever has on maybe 20 minuets of play time on it, lol!

They are cheap on onlinestereo.com. I paid 180 shipped. I say get two, so will run you 360 and depending on what box you want. (I perfer sealed, but ported I heard these things wang, although they do fine in a 1.5cft sealed enclosure.)

Only recommeding these just cause I really have enjoyed it so far.

Try to SSA ICON 12's off 1500 watts they are suppose to be a SQ sub but get pretty **** loud

yea I know, I have one lol. Never heard two though. We were thinking of not going with mainstream companies though. It seems no one around here has heard anything but pioneer, kicker, and audiobahn. Also, everyone assumes whoever has more watts or bigger subs, is somehow automactically louder lol. He listens to rap and he said "high bass" if I remember from last night. So I was thinking mb 2 audioque sd2.5s?

Still haven't got any ideas for anything else.
