12" W7 on home stereo

Thats not a great swtup from what I can see , but if you like it ..... That tuning is way to high and power should be doubled..

When I had My W7 I built a 3.5 CF enclosure tuned to 20 hz,( well below fs ) so I was careful with it.. for a few minutes .... Hooked it up to my buddys behringer ep4000 ran it single bridged ( which is 4 ohm stable btw. ) got hot as fawk , but ive never heard 20 hz sound so **** loud.. Put it about 2 feet off the corner of the wall, sub forward port back on a riser.. Did some quick test with a radio shack db meter.. the servo 15 he had did sweeps and peak spl @ 20 hz was 111.x , the w7 was 116 , in the same spot

That sub is pretty descent for HT , But to comment on what someone said earlier, NO, this is not the same driver they use in the fathom 112
umm idk if you read any of the earlier posts but i said i was doing this out of curiosity because it will be sold in a few days. im not going to make a new box for a sub to sound good for 2 days then just throw it away

yea, missed that.. Just breaking it in for the next guy huh

yeah.. not much breaking in going on at this power level though haha. had it hooked up to 1500 wrms a few days ago though and it looks like its gunna rip right out of the box
yea its a beast for a loose suspension sub.. In the right enclosure that sub can take 3k all day long.. We had one in a demo car at a show back down in TX.. Your making quite the profit too.. Guy coulda got it new shipped for $475 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

just like 30 seconds left on the upload.
does anyone know how i could power my sub off an amp instead of off the reciever. i dont know how since they are normally ran off 12v not 120v
Here is the simplest way to run a car audio amp in your house for dirt cheap: Use a 12 volt battery charger (for a car). Grab 3 sets of wires, preferably black, yellow, and red. Clamp the ground onto the black wire, and clamp the power onto the yellow and red wire. Run the black wire to the ground on the amp, and the yellow and red wire to the power and remote on the amp. Plug it in, and wallah! I used this method to test out 50+ amps that I bought that were supposedly broken, and it worked like magic. If you would rather use a push button to turn the amp on and off, then buy an "on/off" push button at radioshack for a couple bucks, and run it in between the remote wire.

You're welcome //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
