12 " Sub recommendation - $100ish, sealed, 1.0Cu. Ft. powered by 300WRms @ 4ohm

I have a BNIB Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 w/ single 4 ohm coil. It will take rated power, and I will sell it for 130 shipped.

My vote is DCON... I have my 10" in 1 cube (ported though, at 32 Hz) only at ~160W conservatively... (old school rated 100W at 12V) and it pounds and sounds very good while doing it, very decent SQ. Not sure if the 12" will make it too expensive for you though. But I love mine to death and cannot believe it's only running on like half rated power!! I have another amp for it sitting here that will give it way more but right now I see no need to switch it out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

People have been telling me that both the DCON 10 ad Dayton HO 10 are just incredible for what they are. I think the reason why I'm set on a 12 is that I had a old school (mid 90s) polk db10. It was extremely inefficient and probably in a non ideal enclosure. But i didn't know that then. So that has kind of turned me off to 10s.

But have to say, I like the idea of super small enclosure in my hatch and I'm no longer turned off to the idea of a 10. So thanks.

This is a sub I salivated over 5 or 6 years ago. I will definitely keep you in mind as hopefully I will have decided by the end of the week.

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage
