12" Shocker SS series subs???

I've been looking at a pair of 2 12" shocker ss series subs to replace my Jlw3s...Now I have never heard the subs nor have I ever really looked at the specs and done the math to figure what kind of sub I would be getting..So to save time, since I'm a lazy bastard..lol..I was wondering peps opinions on these subs...Compared to my 12"jlw3s whats the differences in SPL,SQ, Reliability do these subs have? Thanks for the help

Placed in a 1.92ft3 box FOR A SHORT time untill I get a new one built with about 320 watts pumping to the each sub...How would they probably do?

I've only heard a Shocker once - it was nice. SPL was pretty impressive, SQ left a lot to be desired. I would venture to say it would get louder than the JL's, but would suffer in SQ. Somebody with more experience could tell ya more

Is this how the order of shocker's subs go:?

SS series--entry level sub

Extremes--next step up from ss

Supers-----step above the extremes

yea I believe that is the order...I atleast know the SS series subs are entry level...

Yea. I keep reading different stuff about the extremes and the supers and i can't really tell which is the higher end sub. I'm about 90% sure the super is the best model.

the size and port tuning are based on alot more than just what you built.. its based on the specs of the woofer in order to reproduce the best possible output...

bigger is NOT always better...... just ask jmac!!
