12" RE SX vs 12" Fi Q

Are these woofers basically the same or is there a difference between the two. I have used the RE SE's and like them but I need the 1000 watt power handling. Any opinions would be appreciated.

I believe a more fair comparison would be the RE SE and FI Q. The SX is more geared towards SPL to where the SE and Q can get loud and sound good.

If you have a 1000 watts to go, why not get two of the RE SE's? Money reasons, space or box already done?

I had a Q and had major issues with it on 2 seperate occasions. Sounded sweet while it was working right though.

I really don't feel like getting into a detailed story about it being most people get sick of hearing about it. So lets just say, I am done with that company and I wish them nothing but the best of luck.

I thought the SE's were 500rms are the not?

What amp do you have and is it 1 ohm stable?

So get to RE SE's Dual 4's and run your amp at 1 ohm and viola!

OK, maybe I dont need 1000 watts each. but I have an RD Audio 1750.0 That puts out 1750 watts at 1 ohm. And I want to make sure the subs will handle it.

I want a SQ sub that gets hella loud. I know the SE's will get loud and sound good doing it. I just dont want to chance blowin em.

I havent ruled out the ssa icon. I am just leaning toward the RE cause of the looks and price. I really feel that the icon would probably be the best woofer for me, as far as funtionality.

Always thought the RE SX would compare better to an Fi BL than a Q.

My friend just upgraded from 4 12" Q's and went with 4 12" SX's. Having much better results out of the SX's. They seem to stand up to power a bit better without all of the special odors that the Q's were giving out.

i really didnt mind the sound of my old SX i thought it sounded pretty good.Thats why i bought another one should be here tomorow.
