i plan on getting 2 of these subs but i have read somethings people have said about them and they said they **** for sq and arent that great can anyone that has heard or owns these subs let me kno if they are decent

i also did an install on a friends truck using an L7 and it sounded pretty good.

They are meant for SPL and come alive in ported boxes.

They've been used in world championship winning sound quality vehicles. Most notably Gary Biggs used them in one incarnation of his Buick Regal.

But they are also capable of getting decently loud, which is how most people use them. So they put them in output-oriented enclosures and subsequently their sound quality in those enclosures is lacking.

But that's a function of the setup and enclosure, not the subwoofer itself.

ok so what would 2 of those subs hooked up to a 1500.1 kicker amp sound the best in and still hit hard and deep carrying bass so the sound will travel(ported or sealed) and what tune
