12" L7 with 1500 bd

woudl the 12" L7 be able to handle a 1500 bd...friend just got asked if he wanted a 12" L7 for 125..its in good condition just dont know if it can handle the power of the brutus

depends how you wire it.. is it dual 2 or 4 ohm?

dual 2...it would be wired down to a 1 ohm load giving it all the amp as....will keepin the gains down help?

i personally wouldnt, thats double the rms.

Also, take into consideration...

The 03' models take 1,200.. New 04' take 1,500. What model is it.

Either way, keep the gain at a resonable volume and you should be fine.

If you have an L7, go PORTED!

neither take the watts ur saying.

the 12" w7 takes 750 watts rms. 1500 watts is the MAX.. like i said i wouldnt do it too much for daily use on them. but yea go ported.

1,200 TRUE watts would be good. I wouldn't worry about blowing the sub. If more than that, I would ' take it easy '
