How much power can I feed her (the JL spec1.25 cubic ft sealed) and be safe.?

I'm looking seriously at the Alpine PDX-600.1.

What's JL's recommended power? I'd start there.

I've seen them take 600 RMS reliably for one year. The guy that had it hammered on it everyday.

I just got a ten inch and I was wondering the same thing.

The specs say it is 500 watts RMS, but on the JL site it says that 300 watts is optimum and that pretty much anything over 500 is warranty void.

JL says 300wrms but the dealer had it hooked up to a JL/500.

It sounded pretty **** good.

In my experience, W3s can take some power, but don't need lots to get decently loud. The PDX 600.1 is a nice amp, but I think it'd be overkill for that JL. I'd look into bridging a PDX 2.150 or something instead.

I'm feeding 250 to each right now. Kinda underpowering but they supportively can handle 500 each. I think 600 would be fine if your trying to use the PDX 600.1
