I just bought a new 12 inch sub that hits all the lows amazingly in my car, almost a little too loud actually. But i used to have a 10 inch sub in the before it that sounded really clean and hit the highs and mids really hard and nice. So my question is can there be a happy medium if i wire both of the subs off of the same amp, in separate sealed boxes? I just want to have the best of both worlds.

Will there be any distortion or problems with this? Please help

When you say mids and highs,do you mean like components??Many source units have adjustable hz parameters for your sub,low pass crossover.Parametric EQ's. Is all you have done with your system so far is add bass with factory speakers, and source unit. 10's are a bit more responsive,I ran 10's for years,JL 10w1's/ 10w3-3-4's/ 10w6'6.I still today run a 9847 Alpine source unit-the unit has a center frequency adjustment---there is a big difference in the bass between 60 and 80 hz.The adjustment does go to 100 and 120 hz also.I like the 80 hz best.I also run 2 sets of type 'R' co-ax[6.5"] and 1 set of type 'R ' components[6.5"]off a Alpine pdx 150x4 the sub amp is a Alpine 1000.1 pdx. This sub amp pushes 2 12" 'R' subs.It used to push 2 12w6 JL's.The 'R's go a bit louder than the JL's.I still have the w6's.I really don't look for mids and higs from my subs.Yet I do like a good mid-bass sub with my components.Do you run components?
