12 inch Re Sx

No wrong guy. Im thinking 2.5 and 34 hz with 1600 watts. If that isnt loud enough sell it and get a 15
Well if you truly want deafening on a tight space, get 2 dd9510's and mayby 2 saz3k's ... that should be loud. My 12" is similar to yours and I had about ~4kw on it and it was ok loud. Now I'm in the process of trying to step up to 2 12"s , you can only throw so much wattage at a woofer before its time to increase cone area.

i think you will be happy if its not enough buy a 15 i have both and the 15 is crazy but the 12 gets loud it just take twice the wattage to get it there compared to the 15.

but ive got mine in 2.25 tuned to 38 ive got a 2.5 to 32 i just havent gotten to try it yet.

ive also got a little over 2200 ontap but i dont use it because my door panels start rattling so bad i can stand it

Is there a way you guys come up with what Hz to pick or is it just trial and error.

Im thinking a 2.5 cube box will do nicely but as far as port area and Hz Im lost.

Re recommends 33 for the sx.

Maybe sound crazy but i had my 12" in 3.0CuFt@35hz sub up port back and it sounded the best in my mustang.Usually 3.0 is a bit large for a 12" but i prefered it. I was feeding it 1400rms I had it in a 2.5@33hz before that.

i could barley fit my 2 cube box in my trunk.
