10w3v3's V.s. Se 10's

what are you talking about? The Se's are rated at 600 rms, the amp he has is perfect for the SE's. He doesn't need 1k per sub, he's got a 1606d amp man.

um i have to se12's in my ride and im about to run a sundown saz-3000d on them daily..so thats 1500rms each..and i seen them take that with no problem....spec sheets r for noobs...theres only a few thngs i look at fs..qts..qes..vas..bl..and sd (cone area)

i made the same mistake lookin at rms power on the se's and went and bought a orion 1200d...but someone who had more experience with the sub saidi should have gotten the 2500d or 2 1200ds and strapped them...trust me with 1k pr sub in a ported box get ready to have ur head ripped off

if your going to run 1500 watts to them you might as well buy the sx's instead.

I agree. With the W3's you aren't seeing the potential your amp has to offer. The SE's will and with some gain adjustments the SE's will definitely be louder.

thanks for all the help, now all i need is to find the best possible box design for an underseat application, and yes i no i have insuffucient space if i go under seat but thats my only option, i need the back seat.

and by the way my amp specs are 1600 rms at 1ohm and no i meant to say 18 gauge speaker cable. sorry

if im going to try to get the full potential out of my amp im pretty sure 4 gauge amp cable is sufficient isnt it? i highly doubt my 18 gauge speaker cable i going to be sufficient tho? what would you recommend for speaker cable gauge?

If you are giving them the same amount of power and in the same box then you aren;t going to notice a difference in loudness. If you have headroom on your amp and can turn it up more then you will be able to make the SE's louder as their power handling is about 2x as much as J W3's.

W3V3 rms is 500 not 300 as mentioned a few times in this thread

Yes but that is border line danger zone. 300 RMS is "optimum" per JL's website.

so your 1606 is prolly doing 1200 RMS with your electrical

600 RMS to each w3v3 is a bit musch

they like 350, no more.....

That's wat I was figuring. I just wana be sure that even with the same box the se's will be louder.
