10w3v3's V.s. Se 10's

i have 10w3v3's powered by a hifonics 1606 in a under seat box with .65 cu. ft. per sub, im guna get 2 10" se's and drop them in, same box and amp...i no you cant tell me how much louder the se's will be but will they be signifiantly louder than the 10w3v3's i have now?

If you are giving them the same amount of power and in the same box then you aren;t going to notice a difference in loudness. If you have headroom on your amp and can turn it up more then you will be able to make the SE's louder as their power handling is about 2x as much as J W3's.

Yeah, I already had extra 4 gauge from my install so instead of buying 1/0 gauge I went ahead and used it. My grand prix has 190K miles so I dont think I will be keeping it much longer and I only have one amp for now.

well i have a 1606 hifonics and im running it at 1 ohm, so im pretty sure that my w3's cant handle that much power, so obviously it should be louder right?

are your subs blown yet, my old jlw3's didn't like more than 800 watts rms.

they sound fine just wen i turn them up they distort, i just dont see how a 300 rms sub (w3's) are as loud as a 600 watt rms sub (RE SE)

yeah, two. It can handle more than that though. JL is durable as ****

I wouldn't give them more than 400-450 though

yea exactly thats what i dont get, the SE's combined have 1200 rms so i dont see how the w3's only rated at 600 rms combined. i dont get how the se's wont be way louder.
