If it were me, I'd do a single Fi Q 12.

Some advantages of running 2 8s over 1 12 would include increased motor force as well better heat dissipation. Either setup would be nice, with a properly designed and built box.

Audioenhancers are the best pre-fab boxes that I've seen. But good pre-fab is an oxymoron.

Do a single 4" side firing.

Ya my buddy just bought a box off of super crew sound for his f150 and i just resined the whole box and re glued the inside where the top half wasn't even glued. They are junk but my box has sounded great on 2 10's but it's not enough so it's fabrication time and I did my port calculator on the12volt and it landed me with a 3 inch wide 12" long aero port. What do you think?

3" for a single 12" is too small IMO (generally).

I'm telling you, a single 12" Axis tuned at 30 hz with 30" ^2 of port or a 4" aero will blow you away. will get loud, sound good, and get nasty low as well. Not to mention it will take up to 2500w if you want to upgrade.

Rockford's punch series lacks in everything a subwoofer should have.
