Ok so here's my situation. Going to re do my Pre fab truck box to fit 1 ported 12 instead of 2 sealed 10's. I planned on running either 2 fosgate p3 10's sealed or 1 p3 12 with an aero port. Box calculates out to 1.7cft total. Reason for running fosgate is I'm pretty close friends with the owner so he takes care of me on Anything Rockford or I'd be sitting on some SA's or BL's right now looking for input Which Is a better set up 1 ported 12 or the 2 sealed 10's. Thanks

i ran 2 10's in a sealed 2.2 cu ft box with 1500rms and then switched to a 12 off 1000rms ported in a 1.8 tuned to 32 and it was a world of difference with the 12, sounded better, dug lower and hit harder than the sealed 10's. From my experience a good ported box and sub can sound just as good as a sealed setup with oodles more boom in the sub 50hz range

ya guys thanks for the response. that's exactly what i said i've had 6 different sets of 10's in my sealed pre-fab enclosure i'm just unsure on what length and width aero port to run and what 12's do you guys like? the p3 is basically my for now set up because i'm still looking to get a big boy to throw in there a little later. My amp that i'll be running is a JL slash 1000/1v2. suggestions more than welcome //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif been looking at the mmats line of woofers the SA-12 and FI bl's but would like some more choices and opinions on some woofers

trust me buck i know. but my buddy always takes care of me and practically gives them to me so i run them and plan to till i pick out a true bad *** sub to throw in there. any opinions?

i'm probably going to have more than 1.7 now that i'm redoing my box and changing the back face to give me more depth and fiberglassing the inside and out so it's solid.

say i only end up with 2 cubes max what are my options like sub wise? i'm not new new to car audio but i've only recently been getting into it little heavier and not to cultured on the many great options you guys all have and run
