10k rms electrical upgrades?

I did that, but my talon was sitting in the parking lot. Then when I brought it out the V8 guys had a good laugh until I ran once.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sneaky.gif.7189749b3a3f769e8815b47e8ae87f88.gif
lol, a talon? My buddy at school has one of those...he half riced it out though. Carbon fiber hood, rims, exhaust, etc...things a piece now though, falling apart

Did you find your answers for the RCA splitting? I have done many different things over years, each has their own pros and cons.
well i wasnt sure about how to split the rcas and if i needed to split my one set into 2 then run seperate rcas (one from each L and R) to each master amp or if i could just run both L to one and both R to ther other but i ended up getting a max link .. just now figuring out how to tune the maps using that thing

waiting on xs to get more d1400 and vcms in in about a week then ill be running 16 batts, 4 dc alts, 4d9@.25

yea, mine was a little riced but that was before there was rice really(no F&F yet haha). I had a 60 trim turbo and a custom fuel setup. Back then we didn't have pc setup to alter the fuel maps so we had to use piggy back systems. It still ran decent. 11.12 in the 1/4 was the fastest she went before I sold it.

I have yet to really use the max link myself. I was about done with massive systems before it really came about. I had some old school versions though haha. Let me know how you like it though. I would be interested on feed back with it.

you have no idea man.,.. i have had SEVERAL 2k-8k systems.. and when you get into multiple alts, multiple amps, hundreds of feet of 1/0 you will run into problems and you will run into problems you never thought about i guarantee you.. i have had tons of problems... Had to notch out floor of the box to get it back far enough to get enough airspace, had to rmeove idler pulley get some flathead bolts drill and retap new holes to get my bracket to work, had to make my own fuse attachment to get alts hooked up, had ot buy a maxxlink and osope to get 4 amps strapped and working properly which i have nevrer had to deal with, thought i would just run all my wires along the frame(wrong), good luck finding a place to run a softball size run of wires where they are not in any pinch points or in a dangerous position, im going to have to hook up and run a vcm, multiple custom buss bars, one of my subs was out of phase, imp rise... etc etc etc.. it goes on and on.. and that just scratching the surface of my built in a full size witht he entire bed to use.. Its never ending.. that much power and that many wires.. i probly got over 700' of wire... you are going to run into unexpected problems and you have to be careful where tou wire this or that or run the wires so you done get a short and lose a couple k quick
Thank You, this is what I wanted to see real world experience, that way people can realize what it takes to make a huge system the correct way.Along with problems you can run into and all the preplanning and fabrication work. And you are correct I had no idea how much work was involved. But now I can begin to understand.

That one in the middle looks like it's getting far less of the belt than the rest of them...
this was before it was altered.. the idler in the top center had to be removed.. the one with the spot of tape on it was moved down.. i got 90 degrees on it.. thats allt hey really need...

yep just get ready.. then my amp rack and batt rack needed to bolt it down but its sitting about the gas tank wher ei cant get a wrench and the sides run perfectly in line with my **** leaf springs... but alot fo that stuff is going to be different.. I cant imagine that stuff in a car.. i got mine so spaced out all the wiring and stuff is alot easier to get to and the ampsd are easy.. in a car you will be piling **** in a tiny spt or even a small truck.. have to stack amps stack batts.. i bet its frustrating
