100watts enough power?

Ive narrowed my speaker selection down too JL 650-CSi's, Boston Acoustics Pro60's, or DLS Iridium 6.2's. My question is A. will 100 watts per/ch be enough to satisfy these speakers, and B. which speakers should i get out of the 3?
100 watts can do more than you think. YOu should be fine.

i keep thinking so too, but then i hear people talking about the BA's and how much power they need to sound good.

Anyway whats the census on this? the DLS, or the Boston Acoustics? what are the pros and cons of both?

Yep a good 100 watt per channel amp will to more than you think on good comps. As for what to buy try to listen to as many sets as you can and choose the ones that you like. I like the Bostons, some like the others you listed, it is all subjective.

It depends on how loud you want to listen to your speakers ... 100 watts for full range speakers should be more than enough for almost anyone ...

not me, thats for **** sure...more like 300 watts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

yeah for casual listening (daily driving) even hu power us pretty close to sufficent. For those that like it loud 50+ watts will usually be enough, few speakers need THAT much power to get loud enough to do damage.

yeah, im about to start a company promoting some local bands so it has to be loud. also i was born 50% def so loud for most people dosen't mean much to me. anyway if you guys say the speakers will work out fine then im happy to hear...

so boston acoustics vs. DLS, which ones would you guys buy? remember your affecting my financial situation so the decision had better be good, heh

100 watts is great -- Keep this one in mind the driver used in the DLS is simply this:

In a 4 ohm version, unpressed paper cone, 1/2 the Bl field (and 3dB/2.83V less efficient -- which makes up for the fact it is 4 ohms vs 8 ohms), smaller voice coil (less power handling)... and 6.25" vs 6.5" -- some other differences too. there are other options too btw than just those send me a PM if you are curious.
