As squeak has made abundantly clear...those types of statements are purely opinion. What it comes down to is attention to detail. Those that listen and those that hear.
Funny, I just read an article the other day saying the exact opposite of what you just said.
I'll go out on a limb and guess this publication sells a lot of ad space to companies explaining why it would be a good investment to spend hundreds of dollars on their signal and speaker cables.Any links to said article.
There is unfortunately a lot of hogwash published by magazines/etc about this topic as well, which helps to delude people and perpetuate the myth.
My audiocontrol 3.1 also makes a huge difference in the performance of my amplifiers.topology can dictate sound..only thing is we are not dealing with .1% distortion vs 10% LOL. You also have to account for how the amp will be used. Are you using the amplifiers xovers? Are you going to use the amplifiers eq? If you have a good external processor things level out pretty quikly between amplifiers. Sure you might have to fine tune between different amps but that is part of the set up
You also have the prestige effect that super expensive equipment has. What I base as good vs bad is how well does a product sound without having to do any special tuning/ or super install..rarely does an amp fall into the catagory of impossible to make sound good. Next thing you know people will be saying they can tell the brand/type of speakers a car has by listening to it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
bump
Exactly.
What's their idle current draw? But then again I only use pure class A amps for my mids and highs.
