1000 watt amp (550@4)-(1000@2), 2 ohm sub can i just leave it at 2

I have a new kicker cxa1200.1 amp and the new mono kicker amps advertise themselves to be 1 ohm stable. But the owners manual says it will still only put out the same 1200 watts rms at one ohm as it does for two ohm. But only 600 watts rms at 4 ohm.

Sounds perfect. The new Taramps Smart3 puts out 3K at one ohm and 2 ohm at 12.6v. That is a good thing.

not to thread jack but I’ve been curious about the whole constant power thing. Rockford did the bdcp which confused me becuase their subs are standard 2 and 4 ohm Voice coil. Jl makes sense since Their w7’s were 1.5 ohm Voice coil. Is it for the sake of future flexibility maybe
