good god 1000 watts to an 8" sub lol. Never heard of anyone using over 500 watts on an 8 and I thought that was rediculous

man i wish i could recomend daytonas lol but everyone is right dd is your best bet, sundowns 8 is amazing but wont handle 1000

SA-8 will handle anything the DD 1508 will if not more power wise - so it is also an option when a high power 8" is needed.

I have them both sitting here in my shop -- bought a pair of 1508s to measure TS specs on. They have a very similar voice coil size but the SA-8 has a stronger cone, bit stiffer spider with more usable throw, a plastic triple joint re-enforcement ring, and IMO better voice coil cooling.

So... again... if a DD 1508 will handle it then the SA-8 would drop right in and handle the same thing if not more.
