it's either that option or a xxx 15 and a 35-1 in a big ported box....what price is their amp shipped....i know it says like 600 on the website....

for amp the 35-1D is i think 340 shipped to your door which leaves you with 660 for subs, wire and box. i would say get a pair of Kicker L7 12"s or maybe a pair of RE Hc's and not go with the DD9515 b/c with only that much power your not doing it justice. and about hitting the 145-150db range it's possible but not easily.

you'd be an idiot to waste your money on a jbl amp. i personally would NEVER use one, never recommend one. they are shitboxes.

spend the extra 50 on a crossfire or memphis. planet audio stuff is even better than the 1200.1

i was thinking a memphis mojo and one 9515. that would be a great combo for under 1000 bucks.. well.. barely.

you could also try a memphis 2000d, or a stacked setup. *(like 2 1200 watt amps stacked)*

but if your not married to the idea, and want pure spl.. just buy a memphis lvs. hands down the most spl oriented sub i've ever dealt with.

the L7 is also a great choice, and WAY cheaper than a LVS. i personally compete with L7s and hit 155's.

LMAO...Lvs' for spl?? Ummmm NO, youd be an idiot to waste your money on that sub. One of my dealers that carries Memphis even told me the Mojo subs are wayyyyyyyyy better and 1000 steps ahead of the Lvs for spl, the Lvs' are a waste of a good sub.

Id go with a 35.1 and an XXX or eD A series (12 or 15)

your an idiot disregard that post. i know for a fact a the LVS 1 can handle 3 times the power and 2 is MUCH louder.

ok not to get in the middle of you guys argument here.. but my friend kinda got a little paranoid when i told him the subs cost ..such as the xxx 9515 ect...he loves memphis...since thats what we're talkin about whats a good memphis setup amp and subs (2 12's or 15's) for under a g..

also.. he keeps talking about a friend that he has that has 4 memphis "deep dish" subs...they're 12's and supposedly have a mounting depth of like 10 - 12 inches...ever heard of them or are they another name for some other memphis sub

the lvs is VERY expensive. i believe retail is somewhere around 600ish for them last i checked. on ebay you can get em around 300 i think but they are expensive and pure SPL subs.

if you can get an LVS for 300, you better get it. Them things are like 999. at my local shop. Ive never even seen a mojo for 300. You can get a HPO for that much, mabey even a SHP, but I dont think an LVS for that much.

ok, on nexxon. com (about the only online place I can find Memphis) an SHP 12 cost 559. and a 15 575. soooo, a Mojo will be between that and a 1000 or so. And the LVS will beat the Mojo in spl, and price

Well, since you have never used one nor owned one, how exactly do you know that they are bad? Did you see one on a bad setup and so you just assume that they are horrible? Well, I own a jbl and its an awesome amp. Probably the best amp for the money. They are cheap and pack a lot of power.
