trunk dimensions:

length: 43" (from the back of the back seats to bumper for a visualization)

width: 40"

height: 17"

i'm considering:

- 1 RE XXX 15

- 1 or 2 SI Mag 15s

- 2 SI Mag 12s

question is this. i want loud, i want to hit the low low notes and i want people to feel me when i drive by, and hear me before i get there.

coming from 1 12" type-r that was underpowered and in a crappy box, anything is an upgrade.

so whats better? 2 12s, 1 15, 2 15s? if i have to sacrifice quality/performance to have 2 15s, i'd rather not do it. i apparently have enough room, i just have to have the box built in the trunk.

what sounds good for my application?

What amp? I vote for the 15 " mags (yes, two of them), but I believe they are only available in D2, so you will have to get an amp that puts out good power at .5 or @ 2.

Absolutely, I just wanted to make sure he had an idea of what he would need. It would **** to go drop 1K on some subs and then an amp that only does the power he needs at 1 ohm. Just lookin out . . .

dual audioque hd15's. doesnt seem like you're overly concerned with sound quality, and they still sound decent anyway. i assume you already know you're going to need at least 2kw, more like 3kw to push a 1000 dollar pair of woofers to their limit, and electrical upgrades to back an amp that large.
