1000-1200watts @ 1ohm from OCS

# 625W x 1-Ch @ 4-Ohms

# 1250W x 1-Ch @ 2-Ohms

maxxonics makes crunch...

i did buy it cause i wanted bump... it is blown... research isnt the problem everyone said there was nothing wrong with the bxi series just they are rated at 14.4 volts instead of 12v like other companies. 3 of my friends run hifonics, the bxi 600, 1600, and 2000.... none of them have problems. shit the kid with the bxi 600 has to hifonics brutus subs. its just defected or w\e the **** the problem is, and they are being difficult and just wont give my money
I dont get why one bad amp means that they are all shit. maybe if you got another one it would do better than the first. if your friends are running them and are problem free they cant be that bad

was looking into it...

because i want more power for the Q anyway and i was just pissed off the thing blew on me... 1200watts @ 14.4volts = 996watts @ 12volts

From the repair man himself:

Those Brutus amps are great little amps. Nothing wrong with them except the mosfets being mounted at 90 degrees to the PCB. Causes the legs to break off from vibration, can cause the amp to go up in smoke when it happens...
The Crunch is lower than the Hifonics. I wouldn't even go for it. MA HK's are current hogs. Lanzar Optidrives are so and so. If Hifonics+shit, think of all the guys running the XX series.

ya the MA audio amps are really overrated. i believe they are rated at 16 volts or something like that. if you have the juice.. go ahead
I doubt OP has 16 volt system.

I did not like the H401..... something by MA though

Installed for two 15" Alpine Type R's

Amp got fuxd with in 1 month.

Didn't blow, but would cycle @ 55 Hz cont @ 3/4 volume if it turned out. Would just hum the shit out of the subs.

then how come everyone is saying other brands?

from what i see/read the xx series is good

i need more power than the hifonics anyway.

That was exactly my point, I don't know why, maybe they know more than I do.

XX and XXV line is good, yes. Big, powerful amps, most of the power ratings are right on, or just slightly overrated by 20% or so. Maybe they are 14.4V ratings...

edit: yeah hifonics rates at 14.4 volts

since i have the expert here, chris //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and because i cant buy a sundown from you because ocs will only give me credit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif what amp would you recommend to put out 1000-1200watts @ 1ohm from ocs?

Well, you don't say there's a certain price limit, so what I would recommend is eithe rthe Rockford T10001-BD or the T15001-BD depending on how much power you need exactly.
