I got a Type R 12'' brand new for $110 of ebay shipped and everything. Its within your price range and I've heard they can take a pounding as well.

Wait how did you go from wanting a 12" $100 sub to an 18" sub? You do realize that 18" subs are not cheap, and if you want something to make noise your going to be spending close to 300 or 400 dollars on the sub?

But hey if that is what you want by all means, I am currently shopping around for an 18 atm as well. So far I'm really liking the DC level 4 18".

I'm actually going with and IXL18.4 re-cone. I was made an offer I couldn't pass up. And no, someone local to me is going to be building a box to fit in the back of the jeep. Its only going to have around 500rms going to it because of the 4ohm vc but I have a feeling the box will make it sound great. It wasnt my intention at all to get the 18, but it should be interesting.
