OK,

1.) We have south beach

2.) we have disney world, MGM studios, Universal studios, bush gardens, sea world, wet'n'wild, typhoon lagoon, cypress garden, water mania, and many others...all with in like 1.5hr drive.

3.) we dont have as many fruits and nuts. The majority of them are in gainsville and key west.

4.) We have more lakes and better rivers

5.) Our cruise ships go to Cozumel, Cancun, the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, Jamaca, etc...your cruise ships go to...Alaska.

6.) We have Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Daytona, Cocoa, Jacksonville, St. Pete, Tampa, Tallahasee, Panama, and Orlando...

7.) We have spring break nationals

There have been like 4 or so major earthquakes in LA in the past century. I'm not exactly sitting here on the edge of my seat waiting for one. An earthquake hasn't so much as knocked a picture out of place the whole 20+ years I've been here.
