I'm building a new porter box and putting my 10" Type-X's in this weekend and I wanted to know what's the most cube I can go each sub without making it sound sh!ty

BTW: I'm looking to tune it near 39-41htz

thanks

48sq feet....

or

look on alpines site for specs
Cool man thanks for "your" help....

I've been to the site I know what it says... but I was hoping for someone that might have had some hands on experience with the sub

ive seen this sub in a sealed box and they sound so good. idk what a ported box would sound like.
Yeah Im going from 10" D4 Type-R's to 10" D4 Type-X's... Id like to see fell and hear a real diff.

Honestly you may be a little disappointed. As for the box, I recommend if you're looking for a good loud sound out of those X's, go ported. Go around or a little over 1 cube tuned to 32hz or so. They'll sound great sealed too, just don't expect to get too loud off of 'em.

You're honestly not going to notice too much of a difference from the two subs.

Yeah Im going ported... I just wanted to know if anyone had ever played around with them and maybe found they sound better in a bigger box or inverted whatever. Really Im just looking to get the most out of what I have.

Thanks for the input guys

The type X's excel at playing low in small sealed boxes. Ported tuned high is the exact opposite of that. If you wanted loud around 40hz then the type R's are much better suited for that application.
