10" sub recommendations

i am looking for a pair of 10" subs.

i plan wiring each one up to a Kicker300.1 amp (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6750_Kicker+ZX300.1.html)

i want to use these amps and not use one big amp because i already have one and i was very impressed with it.

so what sub brand names actually put out what they say they put out?

First off subs dont "put out" anything but sound, power comes from the amp lol

Look into either D4 or S2 subs that can take 300rms, I reccomend Orion HP-10"s

well dont some companies lie about the numbers on the subs or is that just for amps?

and the orion HP's are too much for my subs...i can only put out 300 watts RMS per sub, those put out 500w

A lot of subs can take far more than rated if done right, but I don't know of any that are overrated unless you are talking pyramid, boss, volfenhag etc...

the amp only puts out 300 rms at 2 ohms and the subs say 400 rms...would this be a good match or should i get less powerful subs?

They dont put out anything lol, they take 500rms. And I had a single 10" HP and it preformed incredible for the money I spent on it imo, I had it ran on power from 180rms all the way up to 1700rms+ and it is one of the most versitile subs on the market imo

Those would also be a good match, although you can get them cheaper elsewhere
