10" Pyle Pro Pa Speakers. Whats different about these seemingly identical speakers??

$100 bucks if not more to make fiberglass pods and wrap in vinyl.... And its not like theres another 10" speaker with 3.1" mount depth I could swap them with...

Thats the only thing holding me back. I just want loud and clear

1st) Has pole vent2nd) Has phase plug

They are not identical.

The 2nd unit likely has better off-axis response with the phase plug.
This.

Also those speakers are pretty well made.. Just don't expect them to handle 500 watts.. infact 300 is probably too much depending on how you have them crossed over.. Having said that you probably won't need to turn your gain up very high as they should be quite loud..

The only concern I would have with putting them in a car is having the box space required.. a small sealed box is going to result in peaky response and a serious lack of midbass...

Well they are going on the bottom of the door panel in there own sealed pods. I can extend the "box" along the entire bottom of the door if thats the kinda of space it needs. And I have lots of polyfill...

You can find T/S for them on Pyle's website... I would suggest modeling them with the airspace you have available in winisd before you commit to buying them...

At first glance they really should be vented //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
