also.. .how many cuts around do you do before you get through the wood... It usually takes me 3-4 rounds

I just used 1/4 spiral bits I got from Harbor Freight. They're good enough to go through 3/4" wood in one swipe and they last pretty long.

i see u used bondoglass , do u know if regular bodyfiller would work well to or does it need the fiberglass strands in it?

fiberglass is always best to use first, don't do it with JUST body filler.... body filler or "bondo/puddy/mud" etc... is used for finishing only. that stuff breaks easily if applied to thick. I do a TON of body work and while it isn't exactly the same, the same principals apply.

I would use Long strand to start with, then short strand then filler... or skip the long strand like he did, depends on how thick and everythign you are going to have to apply it.

yeah, I used the bondo glass for strength and the regular body filler to smooth it out. Still have a lot of work to do on it still.

Yeah... I'd use birch to make the flares... and then sonotube for the length

And glass or kitty hair to substantiate the gaps... then rage to smooth it...
