Yeah...thanks for clearing that up captain obvious. 9500's a good sub. But it is far from the loudest sub ever made. I never said they were "lying". They just don't give you the whole story. The 10W7 vs. 9510 comparison is a total crock. 99% of the "parameters" they use are totally meaningless. Only relevent info they gave to performance was Xmax, and even then they ignored Sd to determine which has more overall displacement (which is what really matters). Ever wonder why they only compared the 10's and not the 12's or 15's (and 13.5)? Because JL scales their specs, and MTX doesn't. JL would have "won" the comparison in the larger sizes using MTX's own comparison parameters. And you know this because you have compared the 9500 to every sub on the market, correct? Or no...you're just spewing uninformed and uneducated MTX propoganda that you read on their website. They put that info on their website to confuse young impressionable minds such as yourself. As to the SPL test; http://www.icixsound.com/vb/article.php?a=12 Avg Output High Excursion Sealed SPL Awards : 1st : Kicker SOLOX 12 2nd : JL Audio w7 3rd : Image Dynamics IDMAX Peak SPL High Excursion SPL Sealed Awards : 1st : JL Audio w7 2nd : Kicker SOLOX 12 3rd : [Tie] Diamond Audio D9 / Image Dynamics IDMAX http://www.icixsound.com/vb/article.php?a=13 Avg Output High Excursion Vented SPL Awards : 1st : SOLOX12 : 132.75dB 2nd : JL Audio 12w7 : 128.68dB 3rd : Diamdon Audio D9 : 128.34dB Peak SPL High Excursion SPL Vented Awards : 1st : SOLOX12 : 146dB @ 54Hz 2nd : MTX 9500 : 145.1 @ 46Hz 3rd : JL Audio w7 : 144.3 @ 55Hz Looks like the MTX 9500 only finished 2nd in one out of 4 tests. There's one comparison to show you that it isn't the greatest woofer on earth. Sounds like the only sub you've heard is a 9500 I never even said it was a "bad" sub, or that it would/wouldn't outperform the Type R. I was laughing at the fact you posted up that ridiculous MTX propoganda from their website which proves 100% absolutely nothing, other than MTX relies on telling their consumers half the story to mislead them into believing their product is best.
