10 inch sub suggestion... plz help

My current fiberglass enclosure is 1.0 cubic feet. I am not sure of the mounting depth, the guy who built it said it was average (I have a Diamond CM 310 in it now)

I REALLY want to find a GREAT 10 inch sub (plan on using a NINE.1) that can fit into this enclosure and sound great in a small enclosure. I have been going back and forth on whether I want to get a new box or just use the one I have but I think I can REALLY get a clean install if I start with this... If anyone knows of a sub that can fit this criteria, please don't be shy!!!

THANKS!!

My budget is the best woofer I can get....but don't all of those woofers mentioned have a pretty large mounting depth (compared to the one I have) and they will ONLY have 1 cubic foot of sealed space.... I don't know much about car audio (that's how I got stuck with Bahns) so I want to make sure I get a great one this time....

That would probably fit but I want a sub that can handle around 900-1000 watts of power (pref. one that can handle my NINE.1 at 1 0hm). I know that is askin alot in such a tight space, but I want to have cake and eat it too!!

You won't find many 10" subs with a low mounting depth that can handle that much power.

My advice; find a good sub that handles what that amp puts out at 2ohm or 4ohm.

Also, we still need a budget. "The best I can get" tells us nothing.......otherwise I'll start recommending $10,000 subwoofers

$350 is prob the most I'd spend. The Brahma 10 I noticed has a mounting depth of 6.75 (might fit, I need to get my EXACT depth sooN) Anyone know if it'd sound good in a 1.0 cubic foot sealed box?

Yes, a Brahma 10 would work good in a 1cuft enclosure. However, remember that you need a good 1" - 1.5" clearance between the back of the sub and the box if the sub has a vented pole piece. So, if the box internally measures 6.75" deep, you wouldn't want your sub much deeper than 5.25" or 5.75" (at most)

Also, is that 1cuft gross or net (before or after sub displacement)?
