you just need one good AGM battery under the hood with this amount of power. Another option you can do is just add an agm to the trunk in the back and keep the starting battery if its still good, it'll be easier wiring the amp afterwards. If you want to save $$ on the subs than you can go with a single beefy 12 or 15 inch sub instead. BL12 - Fi Car Audio Store

200 - battery (can be cheaper if you get hooked up by forum members)

160 - box (can be a lot cheaper if you build it yourself, just buy the design and cutout sheet)

80-150 install (anymore than your getting extremely ripped off) Try youtubing/googling, information is vast, learn how to install it yourself, its pretty fun and actually very easy, tools you'd need :hex wrench set, screwdriver/drill, as for crimping and drilling the 0 gauge wire ring terminals, just get a shop to do it, it should be free.

total comes out to be 1050 to 1120 ish, a lil over your budget if you dont plan on doing any of it yourself, it'll be 100$ under budget if you do it yourself.

for box tuning, regular music would be anywhere from 33-38 hz would be fine.

Well to clear the air the $1,000 needs to include at least 1 if not 2 deep-cycle batteries (I'll leave the alt alone for now) the amp, speakers, box, wires and install.

I can probably deal with non-competition grade and use street-grade parts to shave a few bucks off the total price.
