1 sub moves more

I have 2 12" Type R's DVC 2 ohm running off of 2 MA Audio M1889I (800 watts rms) and when I've noticed that one of the subs moves a lot more than the other one. One sub barely moves and the other subs just really going at it. Can someone tell me whats wrong or is this normal? And no I don't have the balance adujsted to one side, its equal.

do you have 1 amp running to each sub? if so possibly your gains aren't equal on both amps

yea theres one amp for each sub and the gains are equal as well

all i can say is check wiring... maybe one is running at a higer ohmage and not getting equal wattage.... and another ? is one sub newer than the other?

are the 2 sub in one chamber, or each sub have his house?

they are both the same age and they are in the same chamber

It's called servo-ing...the sub furthest from the port takes over mostly on the low notes, sub closer to the port takes over on the higher notes I believe

with two amps and two subs, you have to have them in 2 chambers, period.

Would that solve the problem and would I notice a diff in SPL or SQ or anything?

yep, it will solve the problem 1000000% sure, but a difference? im sure also but 99%, sq and spl

Darn I definately don't have enough room for a 2 chamber. I'll have to see what I can do because hatches don't have that much trunk space lol.

just build a new box, it will be roughly the same size. did you by any chance live in stockton a while back?

yeah..one last question how manyy batteries u using?? are both amps power lines connected to the same battery??

building a new box with 2 chambs is not a bad idea..i seen that done before and i was like..you got 4 12's but 2 boxes..i was like why not 1 big box..i guess i found out why..thanks
